南浜名湖SHOPS

Hironoshin Furuhashi, known as Fujiyama's Flying Fish, was
born in the Town Yuto, Yamazaki.

He even eatablished new world records as a swimiming
competitor 33 times.

Even after retiringfrom active service,he's performed a large
variety of activities for the promotionof Japanese spurts.

As a prominent local man of Yuto,the title of "Town of Yuto
Honorable Citizen" was given Mr.Furuhashi.

(A spectator seat at the remains of the pool where he swam
as a youth has been restored and a monument to display the
manifestfor his good deeds has been built.)



”フジヤマのトビウオ”として知られる古橋廣之進さんは雄踏町山崎
生まれ。

水泳選手として33回もの世界新記録を樹立し、現役引退後も日本のス
ポーツ振興のために幅広い活躍をされてきました。

町では郷土の偉人として、古橋さんに「雄踏町名誉町民」の称号を贈
りました。
（氏が少年時代に泳いだプール跡は、観覧席が修復され、顕彰碑が建
てられてまいます。）
